It was the fall of 2010, I was on JetBlue to New York, and I saw this True Blue Campaign Video, of Laura Skladzinski, who I met the previous year on my JetBlue All You Can Jet adventures, completed 50 marathons in 50 states. By this point, I already had a few marathons under my belt, Alaska, Hawaii, and Arizona to name a few. I figured, hey why not? It would be a great idea to travel, and give me a reason to visit some states I otherwise wouldn’t! Deadline? No deadline. If I do it, great… if not, oh well, it’ll be fun! So a few months later, I compiled this list. So, if you’ve ever wanted to do 50 marathons in 50 states (or come join me on some of them), I already did the research.
